Privacy Statement

The Allstate Foundation takes your safety and privacy very seriously. Please read the following information carefully.

Safety information

Computers can provide a great deal of information about sites you visit on the Internet, e–mail you send and other ways you use the computer. It is not difficult to monitor someone’s computer activities, and it is impossible for you to delete or clear all computer “tracks”.

If you are in danger, please use a computer that an abusive person cannot access (either directly or remotely). For example, use a computer in a public library, Internet café or a trusted friend’s home.

Be aware that e–mail is not a safe or confidential way to discuss danger or abuse in your life. Instead, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1–800–799–7233. If possible, use a traditional phone, as it provides more privacy than a cell or cordless phone.

Privacy information

The Allstate Foundation is committed to data security and the data quality of personally identifiable information that is either available from or collected. It has taken reasonable precautions to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse or alteration.

What personally identifiable information is collected?

"Personally identifiable information" refers information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact or locate a single person.

Individuals are not required to provide personal information to visit this site or download information.

This site does not collect personally identifiable information on individual visitors to associate it with Internet Protocol addresses (a number assigned to your computer when you use the Internet). However, during the period visitors are logged into the site, the administrators log aggregate (not individual) IP addresses, browser and platform types, domain names, access times, referral data (the last site or URL you visited before logging into this site and the first site or URL you visit after leaving this site), and visitors activity while using or reviewing this site.

This information is used to help the site administrators determine how the content is being used and how it might be improved.

This Web site uses cookies to collect aggregate statistics only. (A cookie is a parcel of text sent by a server to a web browser each time it accesses that server.) No individual information is tracked.

Use of “Contact Us” information

E–mail addresses of individuals requesting information using the Contact Us link are not visible to those responding. Visitors requesting additional information must provide contact information and may choose the best way for the site administrator to respond: (1) no response, (2) via e–mail, (3) via U.S. Mail or (4) via telephone.

If you are a survivor of domestic violence, please do not send information about your personal experience. Instead, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1–800–799–7233.

The e–mail you send will be available to site administrators at The Allstate Foundation and National Network to End Domestic Violence only. It will not be shared with any other parties.

Visitors who go to these sites are advised to check the privacy statements of each site, as it may differ from those of this site. Be cautious about providing personally identifiable information without a clear understanding of it can be used.

The Click to Empower Privacy Statement applies solely to this Web site.

Changes in The Click to Empower Privacy Policy

If The Allstate Foundation changes its privacy policy, it will post those changes on this Web site so visitors are aware of what information is collected, used and under what circumstances, if any, shared.
